Anyone feel misdiagnosed

I am from the Crohns board but have been "diagnosed" as having Bipolar. The Doc isn't even sure of it. I feel that the Effexor I had been on for anxiety/panic disorder was such a high dose for me it induced a mania. No depression just months of leg tapping and talking constantly, not sleeping etc,,,

Now on Lamictal and Buspar and went into a depression and the Crohn's kicked up too. So, my question for all you people here who seem very up to date is can this be possible? I just started back on the Effexor but at a very low dose(37.5). I had been on 150mg when all heck broke loose and I lost 4 months of my life.

Sharann,  I too am very sensitive to medications.  I have been on so many I can't remember them all.  Just started a new one last night, keeping my fingers and toes crossed that "this is the one!"  It seem BP is hard to diagnose, so many factors to consider.  As a child I was always told to "slow down", I had so much energy all the time.  Never was really a depressed person but once I hit a certain point/age in my life, I was so manic, then later came the depression, then came the rapid cycling, which to me is the worse.  But anywho, you just have to take one day at a time and do the best you can to keep yourself well.
