How can I get thru to my BP husband?

I have just joined this forum - and after reading everyone's posts I really feel like I have written them all - you are all describing my life.
Tonight my husband has decided to seek help for his condition - although tomorrow I know he will have changed his mind again. And so it begins again. I will write more when I am alone in the house, but I feel happy to know that I am not "alone" in living like this.

I laugh (or maybe chuckle) everytime I read these posts. Like so many of you I feel like we are living each others lives. I find comfort in seeing what other people do and how other people handle this. I am drawing strength from all of you in knowing that I'm not alone in this. I'm still in shock and awe at how many of us are so new and going through identical circumstances.
Why do I stay?
Where is that line in the sand?
When do I say enough is enough?
Why does he treat me this way?
Does he feel bad?
Does he really love me?
Does he mean the words he says?
Do I really want to stay married to this person?
How is this going to affect my kids?
Is he going to be able to hold a job?
Am I going to have to support this family?
Can I really live catering to this illness?
I just want something in this life to be about ME for just one day!
Maybe one day every 6 months (aside from my bday) everyone can focus on ME and MY needs.
Who will take care of me when I'm old?
When will be the next episode?
How bad will it be?
Would he ever hurt me?
Would he ever cheat on me?
What happened to the person I fell in love with?
Will he ever hug me with FEELINGS behind it again?
Am I doomed to a loveless, sexless marriage?
Even though I have these online friends going through the same situation, will I always feel this lonely?
Will he ever smile again?
Will I ever hear him laugh genuinely?
Can he stay sober?
Can he stay away from drugs?



... and the list goes on............... all the uncertainty - i'm suprised I sleep most nights!
