I hope everyone had a great weekend. The temps are cold all around, and I hope you are keeping warm. It has been a few weeks since the last roll call and wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing.

Well Hi Olivia...I hope you are doing well. I am doing good surprisingly. I have been quiet the last 2 weeks...Our dishwasher broke mid-cycle and flooded our kitch/dining/living rooms. UGH. Well yesterday the repair work was finally done. We had to replace all of our wood flooring throughout the house because they couldn't match it. So, needless to say it has been a long 2 weeks..having to move furniture out, having everything in disarray. And still have normal days for 3 kids, and not to mention my schooling. So I think I will slowly take this whole week to put the boxes of stuff back. We have all the furniture in, just need to put everything back into it :)

I have a check up with my MD tomorrow. I think I am going to talk to her about my meds. The past couple of months I have noticed myself beinng real snippy...especially with my husband. Just no tolerance at all. And most of his comments I get very defensive to...even when not really appropriate. So I do not know if something needs adjustment.

Hi Olivia, Still having a rough time at work. Boss has lightened up for the moment, and now a co-worker has become as abusive and hostile as the boss was. It was witnessed by another co-worker today (I am in executive level) and they couldn't believe how I maintained myself during the onslaught. She was stunned to see what I have been coping with - as her experience of me is that of a woman who gets things done and is competent and respectful to all while doing so. This work environment is SO dysfunctional and abusive I simply cannot stand it. But in this economy I am trying to cope. I am ACTIVELY seeking employment now elsewhere, and the moment I find the right thing....I am OUT OF THERE! I am a woman who has 35 years experience in the job force. I have a VERY broad range to my skills. I can handle many different kinds of projects/ tasks/ responsibilities. I just need to find something 30 hours a week, to pay 35- per hour, within 10 miles of my home OR to work FROM home (aka: virtual employment). I deserve to find that with a company/employer that knows how to have professionalism and respect between each other. Never in all my years of working, have I ever been subjected to such conduct from either a boss or co-worker. My H wants me to quite immediately, but understands my feelings that I have a responsibility to find new employment first.
As to the home front…not easy, but not horrid at the moment either. Well, that’s my update. LFW

Hi Olivia,

Good to hear from you. I'm doing pretty well. I am loving my new job. It keeps me busy and preoccupied and I get to talk to people. I have always loved cafes, so it's just perfect for me. My one health concern is my sleepiness is getting the better of me these days and I'm afraid I'm going to need to get another sleep test to get my CPAP adjusted (for my sleep apnea.) It's expensive and uncomfortable, and I'm not looking forward to doing it again.

Otherwise, I'm well. Hope you all are too!

 my bipolar has been very stable without any ups or down.s but I take Zyprexa....

Wow, you are in a tough place, hang in there and know we are here for you. Finding an employment is tough, and now things have gotten even tougher. I hope a new opportunity presents itself to you soon.

Congrats on the new job, I am glad that it is what you are looking for. Even more than that, you are enjoying being there.

Being stable is a great place to be, that is what most of us with and without bp are seeking in life.

As for me, I have been a little absent because for a while I was in and out of town a lot. Didn't have access to the internet, then my moods have been really off. I am still trying to get things under control, hopefully sometime soon.

Alive and kicking. Sorry for my hiatus. I moved from NC to FL end of Jan (my husband later followed, hes with friends now, i'm with my mom).

I'm finally getting treatment and support from the medical community. They've changed all my drugs, I'm on wellbutrin (I think i'm responding well, i've been more energetic and happy) and they've started me on geodon. They've been really supportive (the clinic) and even helped me file for SSID in FL (I should be hearing back from that at the end of the month).

I'm still having irratic behaviro here and there and i'm nervous alot and social anxiety seems to be a problem, but i do think i'm makign progress.
