Been gone for a while

Hey gang;

I have beenaway from the site for a while, but hope everyone is doing well. I have finally been back to work for a little over a month now & have had absolutley no free time. The wife is doing pretty good mentally, but is having some problems with her blood sugar, a kidney stone, & maybe some problems with her gall bladder, she has a scan on Wed morning to check it out. She has been pretty stable with her BP, but still wants to sleep a lot. I guess that is better then her not geting all the sleep she wants & being impossible to get along with. 

Just checking in to say hey to all, & hope all you guys are doing well.

Hi Rocketman,
Glad to hear things are going well for you with the job. My mother is diabetic and also just had an issue with her gallstones. From what I read, it seems that it is pretty common with diabetics. If your wife is having blood sugar issues, then this kind of makes sense for her to have kidney & gall stone/bladder issues as well. I believe it is very treatable and like Serafena said, it's not fun but it's not that bad either.

My husband is also doing well - taking his meds regularly, sleeping, going to therapy - but is defintely more tired than normal. But, like you, I would rather have him sleep late in the mornings than get no sleep at all. I think it may be a side effect of the lithium but he isn't showing signs of depression or mania so I am happy.

And some good news (at least I think so). This weekend my husband actually said that he is accepting the fact that he suffers from BP! This is a HUGE step for him and the first time he has ever said this. For years he denied it and said that other people were the cause of his episodes. So him just saying that he's accepting the condition makes me very happy.

Rocketman - a while back you really helped me out so I'm glad that you're back and doing well. I'll be thinking and praying for your wife's health (physical & mental).
