What does Geodon do?

My grandaughter has Bipolar and her p-doc gave her Geodon.... what is it for.? and is it an anti-depressant? She is only 15 yrs of age...

Hi Caren,

It's an anti-psychotic, which means it's used to calm a mania. As far as I can see, it's most common side effect seems to be sleepiness. If she experiences others, let the doc know.
