Best time to take Lamactil?

Can anyone tell me when t is the best time to take lactimal? I am taking it at bedtime along with 10 mg of ambien and I am still wide awake until at least 4 or 5. Teh doc said to take it at night would I be better off to take it in the am? ANyone else experiment with times? What worked best for you?

I am not on lamactil but personally I take my antidepressant in the morning along with my high blood pressure med, and I take my mood stabilizer (risperdal) at night.

I take lamictal in the morning and risperdal at night. But risperdal is not a mood stabilizer, it is an antipsychotic and used for mania.

im on 400 mg. i take one 200 mg. in the morning and 200 in the afternoon. this may be because i take so much in the evening. i hope it works for you, whenever you take it!
