Please help, CELEXA question before pdoc appointment in two days!

Hi everyone,

I need some help. My pdoc has agreed to treat me with an antidepressant in combination with my Lamictal, just to lift me out of this major episode.

I started 150mg of Wellbutrin two weeks ago and having severe TMJ I am clenching even harder and more than before...I noticed that my jaw, neck hurt a lot more. When I looked up side effects, it does happen (the pain can intensify) On another forum someone said that after a few weeks, it would subside, but I have my appointment in two days with pdoc and when I tell him this I know he is going to take me off of it and I'm going to have to choose another antidepressant.  My big concern is not only this pain, but weight gain....This is where I need some imput:

Starting my third week with the Wellbutrin, I wonder if the side effects will ease away?

If I have to choose another med, I am wondering about Celexa??? Any side effects experiences or positive effectiveness???

Any imput on either of these meds is greatly appreciated!

Both my hubby and I take Celexa...I have experienced no side
effects and my depression has subsided since I've been on it.
I take it with Abilify but I'm sure it will go well with Lamictal too.
I have found no weight gain on it either...(just the Abilify.)

I take 20mg and my hubby takes 40mg but I know a friend who
is helped by only taking 5mg...however she's not Bipolar. I have
Bipolar II.

I was on wellbutrin and quit but now I can't remember why!
Anyway good luck to you...hope everything goes well with med changes.

Thanks red wink I will let you know today what we decide...Appointment is in a couple of hours...Anyone else with Celexa info, feel free to give me your input.

Okay---Next plan (I am so beyond frustration at this point, yet onward I go!)

Pdoc appointment today. Stopping the Wellbutrin, and trying Lexapro. He feels we might be facing worse TMJ pain with most antidepressants....so this may not work either. But I want to try and I desperately want to have my depression cease.

I have gone for my evening walk two nights in a row. I need to keep going. And today I stayed away from my dangerous sweet treats and carbs cravings. I even had tea with sweetner instead of coffee with sugar today! This is also something I need to keep going.

I bought this book the other day "The Mindful Way through Depression-Freeing yourself from Chronic Unhappiness" by Mark Williams, John Teasdale, Zindel Segal, and John Kabat-Zinn. It also came with a CD.  I will let you all know if I find it helpful.  I can't believe the collection of all my mental illness books!

Anyway, I will update as the next weeks unfold. Thanks for the support

Wellbutrin gave me constipation, increased my mania and insomnia, and made me forget things... not good for someone who is bipolar
