Man I just got so much sleep I don't know what to do with myself! I cut down on the Lamictal to 12.5 mg, which didn't seem to help during the day, but as night came and the previous days jitters started to fade I was back to about
my pre-med level of hyperactivity. I had half a kolonopin and laid in bed a while, as I laid there I got a litle jittery and couldn't stop thinking about
cigarettes and withdrawal from substances (namely a mild alcohol and caffein addiction and a heavy nicotine addiction), so I decided it was "too much at once" and had half of a cigarette. I also took half of a Clonidine since the bottle said it was best to gradually reduce dose. 20 minutes later I took the other half of a Klonopin (1mg total) and guess what? I fell asleep!!!! Not just that, I stayed asleep for a good five hours, woke up for a minute or two, then slept another five hours!!! Then I lounged around at my parents house and fell asleep on the couch for another hour!!!
I don't know what to do with all this sleep, but I feel good and I'm rearin to go today. I've been inside the last couple hours, but I think it's time for a hike.
So all the factors are :
a couple days of very poor sleep, about six hours combined two nights
reduced amount of Lamictal to 12.5 mg for now
one cigarette to ease the jonesing
.05mg clonidine (this amount alone would not make me very drowsy)
1 mg Kolonopin
We'll see how I feel tonight, but I might try a combo .5 Kolonopin and .1 clonidine, or maybe just the Kolonopin. Doc doesn't want me doing more than 10 mg Kolonopin in a month, so I've got to budget it, but I think getting through cigarettes, alcohol, and caffeine is a good spot to use them now. I've read many places that Benzodiazapines are useful for sleep in withdrawal situations.
Thanks guys :)
