For those out there like me starting a new drug, here's what I've experienced so far.
My pdoc told me to take the medication an hour before bed. (50mg or up it to 100mg as needed) I usually have to take ambien to sleep but I didn't take it. (she said I may not need it)
within 45 min I could barely function, there was no staying awake. When I layed down, my chest felt heavy and breathing felt strange almost struggling. I'm asthmatic so I'm no stranger to feeling that way when I have an attack. (but it wasn't an attack). After I knocked out I didn't wake up until 6am. A little groggy but no real lingering effects. The second night was pretty much the same except I woke up at 3am because the tv was on and loud, then again at 7:00am.
I don't feel any change on the emotional front....still wanting to cry or get angry at the drop of a hat. Only time will tell if that changes.
I don't really understand the idea of taking an extra one at night if your having a bad day. I understand it when you're taking something that sets in right then, like Xanax or something. But why with something that you only take once a day at night? Also with the way it knocks me out, I'm a little scared to take a second one. Idk....
Anyways....that's what's going on with me.
