Well I had another pdoc appointment today. I think they are trying to help but the pdoc seems to have made up his mind what is wrong with me before even seeing me for the first time. Today I noticed him
telling me how I feel. For example, he was telling me that the energy that I have been getting regularly is my anxiety because I am worrying all the time. I don't worry all the time and never told him I did.
I only get anxiety in social situations. I explained this to him and he just looks confused which makes me feel like I am so messed up that he can't figure me out.

I am to stay on Lexapro 20mg + Abilify 4mg. In addition he added trazadone 50mg. He said it is another antidepressant but it will help me sleep. At least it is on the $4 drug list at the pharmacy!

At this point, I am still confused but waiting it out.

Go back in 3 weeks...

Well, that's a bit of a frustrating experience, I know.  Stick to your guns with telling him your experience of things, not what he thinks it should be.  But I think you are right to wait it out rather than start it all over again.  See where this takes you.  Trazedone is a good medication, especially for sleep.  My son takes it at night and it works but does not make him groggy in the morning.

It CAN be a technique to get people to talk about their feelings. Many people (myself included) can't say how they are feeling, but if someone says "You're angry...", but they aren't, they'll quickly spring in and say "I'm not angry!" lol

So it *can* be used to better pinpoint what is going on.

Just a thought??

Agree with what everyone has said.
I'm glad he did add the Trazadone, and wow, from the $4 list. If he gets the anxiety under control, then maybe he will come to a better understanding of what else is underlying it next. I'm glad he hasn't slapped a label on you and made you "just" stay on the same meds, giving you more and more, like there's nothing else that could be done.
That tactic always works on me, quickly denying/reputing my feelings when I think they have it all wrong. AM NOT !
You haven't said how your day to day is going. Hope its somewhat better. Can you assign a number to it?

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think of it as a tactic but it could have been. I do have trouble figuring out how I feel and it did get an instant response out of me that I am not anxious all the time. Oh well I will see how it goes next time.

My day to day is different almost everyday still and sometimes even morning till night is different. My mood chart is showing 3 days up and 3 days down with what I call a transition day in between. The transition day going up is hyper and irritable and down is foggy brain falling energy.
