Friends think im manic

Ive been manic before and I know what it feels like but I dont think I am right now.  My thoughts are racing and my body feels all tingly and Ive had some pretty crazy ideas--but nothing Ive acted upon or told anybody about.  I am talking more but Im not talking nonstop.  And I havent had any feelings of being on top of the world or heard any voices like I usually do when Im manic.  I think Im just in a good mood because Im coming out of a really long bout of depression and I feel like Im finally going back to normal.

The accident wasnt very bad and neither me or the other driver is hurt and I dont feel any stress or anxiousness about it at all.  The only thing Im remotely stressed about is getting my car fixed so I can stop bumming rides to school.

Basically Im just wondering if there is anything I can do to prove to them that Im fine and they dont need to keep treating me like Im going to blow up at them any given second. 

I dont have a doctors appointment until next friday and I called today to ease my friends worries but they didnt have any openings any sooner than my friday appiontment.

  After a particulay large and dangerous fire (im a  full time firefighter) i was "high" for a few weeks afterward. This was 5 years ago, but i can remember it like yesterday. I was in control for the most part, but i was definetly manic. I spent like crazy, had sex like crazy, well, i was just crazy.

  But yea, a serious life or death situation will get certain chemicals poping in the old brain. In your case you are manic, loving life, enjoying it to the fullest. If you arnt in any distress, enjoy this feeling for as long as it lasts.

   SOmetimes there is a good side to being BP, and this kind of euphoria is one of the perks. Think legal high. LOL LOL LOL LOL

Going through med adjustments we go through a lot of different things. Sometimes the meds make us so level for a while that it hard to feel either up or down...where are just "there" so to speak.

When we finally get use to the med being in our system & agree with it we start to feel normal again to us...but to others that are not use to seeing us that way in such a long time, assume we are headed for a manic episode.

It sounds like you have a good idea of what manic feels like for you.  You are aware and that is really BIG. So I would say go with the flow & if you feel that things are getting a little hairy for you it sounds like you will do the proper thing and get in touch with your doctor to talk about it.
