Hi,
As you know this is my first post. I am 57 years of age and have just recently been diagnosed with Bipolar affective disorder. After getting over the initial shock the diagnosis gave meaning to my life. People considered me as extrovert, maverick, bizzare etc etc. when all the time i have been ill.
I am still picking up the financial consequences of my manic episodes.
I am taking a cocktail of medication including seroquel (quetiapine). I have been in hospital for six weeks and now ready for discharge.
I feel a little anxious in terms of the future. My wife who suffers with a rare headache condition is a member of this site has encouraged me to join as well.
Best wishes
Peter
