How about some "tough love"? She knows that she can depend on you; that you will continue to keep in touch and offer the help she
needs at any time she wants it. In a sense, your effort is one type
of co-dependence. If she had any idea that support for her might stop unless she agrees to see a specialist and obtain the help she needs,
it might make a difference in how she conducts herself.
The children are another matter. You should be seeing them as often as you wish and certainly caring for them financially and emotionally, with or without her permission. You need, in my view, to take a stronger stance in having the children in your care when you wish.
With proper medication your wife should be far more co-operative and
helpful both as a spouse and mother of your children. It's important
for her to get the right medication when one needs it for stability.
Take care and be strong (strength requires firmness and gentleness, not weakness). Remember to be strong.
Take care.
