Hi I am a newbie to you all,I am very concerned to the medication I have been put on,I have no say in what medication I take as I was sectioned under the Mental Health Act.Am on 500mg lithium,15mg mirtazapine and 10mg nitrazepam.My sleep is very poor even though I am on the Nitrazepam.What worries me most is what this combination is doing to my body long term.It is easy for them to prescribe it but it is not them that are taking it,my liver levels were not right,my feet swelled up.I suffer from depression and this is my 3rd time in hospital,been in hospital 17 weeks now.In one sense I feel okay,but feel constantly tired and can't really say I feel on top of the world.I asked my psychiatrist will he take me off the lithium and just put me on antidepressant he said no,that I will take lithium forever by the sounds of it.
