My fiance is my employeer.  I wrote and email demanding to get paid at least minimum wage.  He is angry!  (So am I!)  I can't see this ending well.  If I didn't love him it would be so easy: report him to the Dept of Labor and the ADA and get back-pay for the last 2 years.

I am torn and hurting.  I started taking Lamictal today.  It takes 4 - 6 weeks to work.  If things go badly I'm at risk for depression and will need this medication.  I called into my Dr. and left a message that I was starting the med.

Sorry bout your problem. Although your employer is your fiance, you are still entitled to your fair salary. I know it's hard for you especially since the feelings may be strong. However, he needs to understand that you are entitled to it and you should be treated fairly even if he is your fiance.

Please don't stress yourself. Don't want you to get depressed. Try doing something to take your mind of things.

Hope you feel better. Let us know if things improve.

I get pay raise on the commission stuff, he encouraged me to apply for SSA BOND program just in case I go over my social security limit. It's a lottery system, I hope I get it. But we didn't talk about the non-commission work I do. Like they were short-staffed today so I went in and did the afternoon cleaning chores. I never get paid for stuff like that.

I'm re-doing my scheduling so I can fit in more appointments in per day. I hope to add in more days. My son starts school and I don't want to be sitting at home all week with someone else doing my job.

What is the chance that I can actually work. I mean I'm OK now... in remission. But can I keep it up all winter? Can I do my job 4 days a week? I'm doing just fine with Monday Tuesday. I do need Wednesday home to clean. But by Thursday I'm itching to work again.

There have been a lot of changes at work and it's so much better than it used to be. Coworkers, equipment, workspace, all so much better. Maybe it's OK now?

Things are looking a bit up - as in the conversation is started - but I will stay with the Lamictal. I tend to get depression symptoms in winter so it's probably good for me to stay on at least a sub-therapeutic dose (75 or 100 mg) through winter.

Trying to adapt to all the changes today.

Went from hiring someone to do half my job to not hiring someone
Got a 20% pay raise
Went from strictly 2 days a week to strictly 2 days a week plus more when I'm feeling well. (Rules are: easy for office staff to understand when I'm available, no cancelling appointments, no overworking and dropping off the face of the earth for a month)
Set up a "safe" savings account - one I can't raid when I'm moody
Changed scheduling and had a POSITIVE conversation with my former work nemesis. She's OK. ;)
Talked to my fiance about personal fiances, working things out and we're in pretty much agreement.
Getting ready to revamp my work image (uniform, hairstyle, etc) to fit the clientelle I want to bring in.
Waiting for all these nifty packages to arrive in the next week to help me with the grooming competition I have decided to enter.
It's time to update my policies, billing codes, and prepare for end of year price changes..... ick
Need to do marketing stuff... repeat what I did last year basically. I lost a lot of clients when I was out for a month. Thankfully all my GOOD clients came back. I won't cry over the others, I will try to get more of the really good clients. (More money, more fun, less labor)

So tonight was shopping online for work clothes. Took HOURS to find something attractive and within our uniform guidelines. Picked a lazy but attractive hairstyle. Painted my nails. Journaled. Klonopin. Sewing grooming bows - an unprofitable, but tedious and relaxing task. Trying to wind down, sleep well. Thankfully a 3-day weekend. I really need the extra day to relax and still have time to catch up on housework.

I did not expect a non-dramatic conclusion to most of these issues. Thanks for support. Maybe someday I will learn to control inflamatory responses and my strong tendency to run away and take steps to move out. Apartment shopping, purging everything I don't want to take with. lol, at least I'm not prone to clutter at this point.

I guess I am thankful that this whole situation did light a fire under me. I've been working neater, taking more interest in work, finally decided/committed to developing my career instead of just having a job. It sparked my competitive nature in a good way. I wish it didn't have to be so traumatic though. :) I survived alright, no mood swings. Moments of feeling down.

I think Lamictal is a good choice for winter to avoid depression and so I can keep working.

Still struggling to relax. I'm in avoidance with school starting in a few days and the extra responsbilities since we're not doing school breakfast and school lunch this year. I haven't even touched the school photo order form and normally I love to obsess about it.

I took my work equipment to work. Try to leave it there and be present when I am at home. I also intend to work full days regardless of my appointments, so I need so save things to do!

I'm journaling (that's how I discovered the avoidance), klonopin, trying to relax. Going to break out the classical music, dim lights and try to get som quality sleep tonight.

Tomorrow is housework which can be soothing and encouraging if my fiance isn't in a mood - I don't expect he will be.

It's gonna be OK. Keep telling myself that. ;)
