Hi there,
During January, I was hospitalized for Bipolar depression. During this time, I met a guy, Tim (41) and he was struggling with depression as well. I am married (39) and he is still trying to get divorced from a ugly marriage. He knew that I was married and I knew his status.
We often would take walks to cheer each other up or have our meals together and long chats. He stays close to the Hospital and his family invited me to join them a few times, but I declined each time. We exchanged contact details at some stage.
By the time we were both discharged on the same day, we said goodbye and shared a good hug.
He would send me neutral messages almost every day, ever since then.
This morning at 1:30 he could not sleep and ended up sending me romantic messages! My husband got hold of it this morning as was very upset! obviously thinking that we've been more than just co-dependant friends.
Note to self: I will never share personal details with a fellow patient again. Even if I meant well.
Did this happen to anyone of you? co-dependency relationships.
