Yeah, I don't really understand why he would rx Ambien when you were doing fine on Seroquel, which is more effective anyway. Even tho Ambien isn't a benzo, it still has risk of dependency and tolerance. Seroquel does not. As far as weight gain, it's much less likely to cause weight gain than Risperdal and Zyprexa, studies showed this. Besides, since you've been watching what you eat and excercising you've lost weight while taking it anyway! It's better for you given your psychotic episode a few days ago. That was on Seroquel AND Abilify! (You probably should have talked to your doc about
an increase). So, why the heck would he take you off it?????????
IMHO you need a new doc in the worst way.
