Hi Helen,
I took the Lexapro 2 yrs ago for about 3 months and it got me in a very good mood. I was in a black hole with Hep C and my Mom had leukemia. I stopped taking it because I felt like it was giving me urges to drink wine. Maybe I was getting a little too up. anyway, i stopped taking it and remained pretty cheerful, so cheerful that I got on a plane to India! I was too sick for a trip like that but perhaps a little delusional from the lexapro even though I was no longer taking it. I was in India for aover 6 weeks, the las 3 I checked myself into an Ayurvedic treatment facility in middle of nowhere because I was too sick to get back on a plane. Just very run down from liver stuff.
I realized later that I would be considered more of a bipolar type and ssri are not good because they create manic episodes.
Now I see a pharmacologist who is great but I don't like to take meds either.
I tried lamictol in a desperate moment but I was actually having visions of killing myself the first day. I thought it was all in MY MIND so stayed on for2 more days and quit.
Now being so depressed and flattened out I begged my Dr to let me go on Lexapro for short time with xtra close monitoring.
I took it for 4 days. I had instantly felt a little brighter in the head even though still flattened out but then stopped.
Have you ever tried a rebounder. The mini trampoline. it is best workout for lymph and happy cells.
I was at this place Tree of Life for a couple of months and they did a movie about 6 diabetics who worked with the Dr. there (Gabriel Cousins)
for 30 days and ate only raw food and suppliments.
I have seen also in otehr raw food places like Ann Wigmore programs unbelievable resuts for diabetics. There is a place in upstate NY that has retreats only in summer time that is beautiful and clean and less expensive than any other place I've been to. Most people book a year n advance. It was called bodymindretreat.com
Might be worth looking into for your diabetes.
Thanks for you feed back. Much appreciated. A lot of these sites people look in but don't write in. It's good to hear you.
have a great day, Helen.
