sooper,
If it is Zyprexa you are talking about
, then it is classified as a atypical anti-psychotic. It does have an antidepressant like effects, but it is used to control symptoms of mania or rage.
From what I understant, it is supposed to calm down mania or used to prevent an episide. But I have never heard of then inducing mania.
I took Zyprexa for about
a months in July 2006, and it made my mania better. Right now I am on Litium and Geogon another antiphychotic and it had been working great. It has minor side effects, but it has been working well.
Zyprexa side effects info can be viewed at http://www.zyprexa.com/patient/sideeffects.jsp
I would check with your Dr. and let them knoe your symptoms, and maybe even change beds. Cause this one is not working for you.
Hope it is well with you and best wishes!
