i forgot to say,she also has a son who is bi polar,they feed off of each other,she left me 15 times in 5 yrs,when shes in her manic state,she took her depakote for 1 wk then stopped,i cant contact or go around her because i tried to talk to her about what was going on and after i left she put a restraning order on me.so now how do i help her?her family dosent deal with her and mine thinks im crazy for dealing with her irrational behavior,truly need help,our family physician put me on effoxer for anxiety and depression,i feel like im failing her but dont know what else to do

Wow, things have gotten more complicated. If she has a restraing order on you, you have to abide by that. But your son is also involved and also has bipolar and he needs care also. How old is he?

I'm glad you are getting some relief for yourself as well. But maybe you can make an appt. with a therapist who can help direct you in how to handle this matter more effectively since you already stated you are receiving no support from anyone else. Since she is incapable of taking care of herself, how can she possibly be able to take care of your son?

Sounds like you may need to take some legal action yourself.
