Well, friends, on Oct 19 it was one year since our Susan passed away.  Lots has happened since then; some of most loved sisters have joined her, Peggy, Leah, and Pat.

In Sept. Flo (Susan's mom) sent me pictures of S's middle son, Eric and his new wife, Jen.  There was a beautiful picture of Alan with the kids after the service. Their wedding was on Sept. 18. 

Susan's oldest boy, Jeff is marrying tomorrow, the 23rd to Courtney.  Remember how we all smiled and cried when Susan described the proposal on the beach???  It was so romantic.

Alan is "soldiering on" as we all must.  I think of him and his boys often.  How Susan would have loved the hoopla of these 2 weddings just one month apart.  Ah, how unfair life can be at times; but we all knew that already.

Keeping in touch with Susan's family has made her loss somewhat bearable; gosh, I really loved that girl.  So, let's all smile, and give each other a group hug.  We are family, so I wanted to share news from one of our many branches.  Sending you all hugs, Luci

Wow! It's been a year already? Thanks for the update, Luci. How exciting those weddings must be. I'm sure Susan is missed by all who attend.

OH Luci, thank you so much. What a wonderful post. Yesterday I was just looking at some pictures from the San Antonio gathering and thinking of Susan. I'm glad to hear her family is fine. I know Susan will be at Jeff and Courtney's wedding tomorrow. Group hug, Gail

Wow, a whole year. I was thinking of her recently too, and thought it was around now that she passed. In fact, I think Juliejar's passing was around this week too, but 2 years ago.  Susan's mother once lived in the suburb where I live today, I just thought of her when I was in our downtown, and picked up a brochure. I was always looking for pictures of our fabulous downtown here, she'd never believe it.

Susan was so proud of her boys, remember her "proudmama_S" screen name? She really was. And yes, the hoopla of 2 weddings so close together, what a beautiful time she would have had. She is missed by so many, it is still so hard to believe she is gone... Susan's passing was so sudden and shocking.

Group hug to all of us and extended out to her beloved boys (incl Alan) and mother...

What a special post! Thanks sweetie for filling us in on Susan's family.

I sure do miss that lady too. She always had a way to get us to smile, didn't she? I still have a rubbing stone for good luck that she sent to me one Christmas. Everytime I look at it I think of her and that beautiful smile that she had.

Thanks for the memories dear friend.

Giving you healing hugs (because we are still healing from her death and all of the others that have also passed).

Hey Luci,

So much has happened this past year...SO many tears have been shed. Susan's death
came as such a shock to all of us...I miss that dear, sweet funny lady. She was a true
Southern Bell. I have so many wonderful memories....Remember in San Antonio when
she made me snarff my Diet Pepsi ??..LOL

I met 2 of her wonderful sons at Peggy's funeral ..Boy I can understand

why she was so darn proud of them !!!

Luci: Thanks for sharing and for suggesting a group hug. I didn't really know Susan, but I know she was loved by many.

How ironic that I should read your post today, Luci. I just came across Susan's recipes for the Dunkin' Platters and brownies that she brought to St. Louis. I also have pictures from Myrtle Beach of her with Joannie and other pics with Laurel and Peggy. How blessed we are to have had their friendship. Thanks for the update. Hugs, Lauri

Let's all raise a glass of wine and munch a Cheeto or two in Susan's honor! We all loved her, who wouldn't?? Hope she's in the 62-degree section of Heaven! (Remember how cold she kept our suite, Luci???)

I remember when she left us, I was going through chemo. I think I remember her posting to me, even though it was so difficult for her. I'm so glad we have this special family. I"m hugging, too.

Yes, the rubbing angel. She said that she used hers so that she wouldn't forget anyone while she was praying. We love you, Susan. I hope you can feel the hugs. I have your stuffed pets on my bedroom TV. Love, Di
