Sometimes I can't believe I'm still here... Kept Hannah out of school today and we spent the whole day together. She had a card for me and she wrote "you're the best mom in the whole world". Sure made my day. She is my most precious gift...

Well, I'm headed for that 5 year mark and oh, so thankful...Sometimes we lose perpective on the REALLY important things. Days like today help me to remember...

Happy Happy Belated Birthday, Julie! You feel just the same as I do about age and being thankful...I am a year a head of you on age and just a few months or so ahead on the diagnosis...and I know exactly how you feel. Birthdays after cancer seem so different, really a reason to celebrate life! Each one is a gift.

Save that precious card Hannah made you forever, and give her an extra squeeze with love!

Each day does seem sweeter and more special since dx. You're right about focusing on the really important things.

It sounds like you had a most "special" day. I bet dear Hannah loved spending it with mommy too.

Happy Belated Birthday, Julie!  So glad that you and Hannah had such a great day.

Isn't it amazing how after being dx'd with bc, every birthday becomes more special?  I turned 40 this summer and people were like "oh no, isn't it terrible to get older?" and of course my response, was heck no!
