Sherry:
I can so relate. I stop eating under stress, too. I've lost like ten pounds in two weeks. The thing I immediately thought of, though, is how hard it must be to see the weight loss now that you've gotten a diagnosis. I really hope you can eat soon. Maybe some relaxation exercizes will help calm your system down? I meditate on a number, a neutral one, so I can minimize the extraneous thoughts as much as possible. I try to imagine, picture, the number in my head. Then, when I notice that I've drifted in thought, I say "ok" and go back to the number. I do this for ten minutes, sitting, with my eyes closed. It calms my system down and after practice the number becomes a relaxing stimulus. The thing to remember with this is that you can't keep on thinking of the number for any extended period of time, your mind will drift and go here and there. The "exercize" is bringing it back as many times as you can. Even if you only thought of the actual number twice in the ten minutes, you've still done it, because you've sat with your eyes closed for ten minutes and the number becomes associated with that. Try it out, maybe doing it every day will cause your body to calm down a little and allow you to eat.
I hope that helps. I really would like to hear about you eating more.
