Tomaxefin and DNC's

Can anyone tell me if they have to go through a DNC because the tomaxefin is causing endrometriosis polyps?  I have been experiencing heavy and very painful periods.  I have not had any skipped ones, but saw my OBGYN and had an ultrasound done and found polyps on the uterus. He recommended a DNC to clean me up and make sure there not cancerous or pre cancerous.  He did mention that people who have to take Tomaxefin have a risk of experiencing this side effect because of the lack of estrogen.  I guess it fixes one thing and damages another.  Breast Cancer State I survivor. Taking Tomaxefin for the next 3 years.  2 years on it already.

Any input and/or experience w/ this.  Thank you all for your support.

I did have polyps removed through D&C after chemo-induced menopause. I didn't take tamoxifen, but hormones bottomed out after third chemo, and never got them back. about a year later, I started having cramps and bleeding. Had the D&C to remove polyps, and haven't had any problems since.

Don't know if that helps, but that's been my experience.

Thank you. Yes it does. Did it take you a week or so to recover from DNC or was it just a couple of days? I hear sometimes it takes a week to feel good again. Very painful procedure.

Really wasn't that bad. The procedure was a bit painful, but the they want to make sure they get everything. Mild cramping for a day or two after. I guess it depends on your pain tolerance.
