lump?

 Hi, I'm a little confused at what to do right now. Last week I dicovered a hard lump on my right breast and went to the doctor, he examined me and was not sure about the lump. He told me to go to a breast surgeon which I made an appointment with for this week. The thing is the lump is no longer big but a little pea size thing so I'm guessing that it was just a cyst and wondering if I should cancel my apointment. I'm going to be 51 this year and never had anything like this before, I also have not gone for a mammogram before which I know I have to do anyway, but do I still go see the surgeon? Thank you for any input.....

  Hi....Went to the doctor as it turns out is is a complex cyst. She drained it and now I will go fo a mammogram in two weeks. Even though she drained it I still feel the lump is this normal, I thought it should be gone. She also said it was a little inflammed. I guess the worst part is over at least I know what it is. Just wanted give everyone here my best. Thank you
