17 years ago today, I was diagnosed with breast cancer...

and have been NED since surgery and chemotherapy. Breast cancer has made me grateful for each day (well, maybe some days I forget to be grateful!). It has brought many wonderful friends into my life (and taken too many as well). I feel like we, too, the women who come here to share their battles, win or lose, are all Veteran's in our own right. So Happy Veteran's Day to all of us!

I became a 6 year survivor on 12/29/11.

Bev, congratulations. 17 years is good. I, too, feel that Breast Cancer gave me so many blessings. Family and friends have been such a big part of my continued recovery. I am thankful for all of you.
