I am 36 years old. They found a 1 millimeter lump in the left breast at the 10 O Clock position. Going in for biopsy Thursday. They kept telling me it was nothing, it was no big deal. I was shaking so bad they thought I was being a drama queen. Will know the results Monday. I am so scared. I am a single mom to 3 awesome kiddos, one that is handicapped. I don't want to die or have anything happen to me. Any ideas? thoughts? Is 1 millimeter pretty big? Also, should I tell my ex about
this now or wait for the results Monday? The divorce did not go well and there is a protective order in place. I don't need any drama from him or him wanting to take my kiddos away due to my illness. Thank you.

Don't tell ANYONE until you are sure. If you do, and it turns out to be something else, you'll never hear the end of it! You don't have long to wait so vent to us and share your concerns here. We'll help you wait.
Did you have a mammogram? That's usually the first step. Often there are two mammograms, one to screen and one to magnify the area to see if a biopsy is needed.
The vast majority of breast lumps are not cancer. There are a number of benign conditions that can cause them including cysts that can be fluid filled. I've read a hundred stories like yours lately. The odds are definitely on your side. Stay in touch. Thinking of you.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this, as it can be scary. Don't worry too much because many times it turns out to not be what we think or to not be as bad as we think. But no matter what, I'll be praying for you.

It very well may be nothing to worry about. I had a lump found last year and they did the biopsy and it was nothing to worry about. It was a fibrous adenoma. We just watch it now to make sure it doesn't grow because if it does it will need to be removed. In fact, I just went in today for my last ultrasound of it and my yearly mammo. All is well.
Let us know what happens and I agree don't say anything till you actually know something.

Was wondering as well if we could get an update on our original poster.
I've had "lumpy breasts" since I started my period.....
I miss hearing follow ups.....
Hope she is doing well.

Hi everyone, I went for my yearly mammogram on thursday and got a call from my dr on monday saying I have to have a follow up with a specialist. I suffer from panic attacks so I had little sleep. I see the specialist tomorrow ( Wed) and thanks to joining this forum I feel a bit relieved that I am not alone. Also I am demanding for a biopsy. Thanks for all your comments regarding breast cancer. God Bless U all.
