Hey Bernadette,

I take Arimidex and I have some bone pains. Especially in my lower back and my shins of all places. Also, my joints definitely feel like they've aged 20 years in the last 9 months. I also get what I call canceritis ... My DH laughs at me because I'm always asking if he thinks this new pain here or there is a new sign. Keep laughing, smiling and eating well! Hang in there, I'm certainly praying for positive news next week. I do know all too well the waiting game. My DH had cancer nearly 9 years ago and we had so much waiting all the time. He's clear now and CURED! Write, vent, laugh, tell us jokes ... we're here for you all day and night!!!!

Oh Bern, I'm so sorry to hear this. It seems like you sailed through all this so well then to just get knocked back again. I hope it is nothing. I don't want to seem totally stupid, but these spots, could they possibly be cancer? I don't blame you for not wanting to go thru chemo again. If I get some sort of cancer again, I will have to think about it real hard. It's like how many times do you put yourself thru something like that? I had a hard time with the whole ordeal.

I'm praying for you that all goes well. Don't be afraid to come here and vent and say what's on your mind.

I did a little more research on Arimidex and one of the main side effects is back and joint pain. I have been waking up witht the worst back aches. I feel like a 90 year old woman I have joint pains all of the time. My right arm ached for 2 days like it had a tooth ache. I have been on it for a week now and it really shows. They did not list weight gain, I hope they don't because I need to loose weight not gain.

Donna I'm sorry to hear you are having more troubles with your implant. You sure have had alot of trouble with that. I hope they get it fixed this time.

Laure' thanks for the input on side effects of Arimidex. I can't believe I have only been on it a week and had so many pains. I did not know that your DH is a survivor, that is great!

Katt good to see you posting again, I had not seen you in awhile. Yes they do think the spots are cancer, I had a bad feeling that they were all along. They were there when I was first diagnosed they all but dissapeared during chemo and now that I'm done with chemo they are back and bigger. I guess if I have to I will do chemo again but I won't be happy about it. I just got enough hair to feel good about myself again.

Oh well ladies no more complaining. I need to be positive.

Hey, Bern. Just came home from my "house and dog sitting" stint. Just checking in with you. I have been on Arimidex since September and no real "pains". Sometimes I get something, but it goes away. I never know if they are from Arimidex or from the broken collar bone, ribs and fractured shoulder blade I got in a wreck a year I was diagnosed with cancer.

Stay POSITIVE. I believe this helps so much and you know, tomorrow is Palm Sunday. Try to make an effort for church. Maybe it will give you strength to face next week. I'm praying for you girl.

Bern - Just wanted to chime in here with my prayers for you, and support as you face this week. With everything you have been through I am hoping that you will find strength from us, and from those around you. We cant always be positive, and every once in a while a good pity-fest is exactly what is needed - but know that we are holding your hands as you go.

   I am praying for you from north Idaho!  I am about 2 years since dx of BC... and mets are always a worry for me.(I am 34 and my son is 12 and my stepsons are 9, 12, and 15!) I had pain in my thighs this winter and I went for an x-ray. It turned out to be arthritis, but I am going to do a follow up x-ray to be sure!

   I did read that some cancer patients w/ mets do go int remission!  I am not a church going person, but I have been talking to the almighty alot these days. xox karen
