Diane,
I hope all goes well for you at your appt today, let me know what you find out.....
I cant believe the relief and new outlook on this I have now....I know I still have more to go, but just getting this far is like a weight has been taken off my chest.
I really dont know too much other they started my day with the injection of the radio active dye to local the sentinal nodes....that was not anything like I feared it would be, there was very minor discomfort that lasted seconds before the numbing took over....during suregry he removed the original lump I found plus a very small one that they saw on the MRI that was near the first one.....was surprised when I got home a looked at the bandaging, on about 2 1/2"x1" over the lump incision, one about 1" square over the radio injection site and one about that size at the outer edge of my breat where the removed the 5 nodes.
I didnt talk to the surgeon as they were running behind and he had another patient but he spoke with my mom and said things looked good.
I will see him again on Tuesday but not sure if this is just the post op check up or if the sentinal node biopsy will be back, he said it normally takes about 6 days so that is close but there is also a weekend in between so Im thinking probably not.
