We are in the middle of packing to move to our new home.  It fell together so well and so quickly it was meant to be.  Thursday the van will be coming to move most of the furniture.  However, until this house is sold, Chuck will be staying here after work at least before driving the 48 miles to the other house when he works afternoon and midnight shifts.  That way the house will have some furniture and be "lived in" while it is listed.  I am afraid I will be without a computer for at least a week and possibly two, so I need some help here.  Anyone interested in helping out and signing on as moderator, please write to Peter and let him know you are interested and willing.  My cell phone works well at the new house, so I will be using that as a phone while I get a hook up.  I am hoping I can get internet through something other than the dial up we had to have here.  So I will be unreachable unless you have my cell number.  Jo-Ann has it so if there is a need to get in touch send her an email or whatever.  I am dead tired tonight, so much to pack.  Whoever got me started on eBay should be here helping me pack up all this stuff I bought.  LOL  I know a lot of you are having a good laugh out of that.  Will be able to check in here tomorrow but not sure after that.

MK..I will try to check in on the board as much as I can...geez didnt even know you were moving. I hope the move goes smoothly. Everything should be fine here...

Boy times have changed. I can not believe you are moving and I had no clue that this was going on. As for your e-bay stuff, I know one person I am prepared to bet is not helping. I bet Chuck is chuckling up his sleeve. I can hear the moving van now clanking up the road. LOL Hope all goes well. I am sure the board will be fine with everyone getting a heads up that you are gone, I know many keep their eye on the board anyway. What I really want to know is did Chuck move you to another water spot, or did he finally get you on that farm? Please warn me if its the farm, not sure but, you might be able to hear my chuckles from there. Lots of good wishes in your new home. Hugs, Joyce

It's the farm, Joyce, but only 34 acres. It has two ponds, a lovely creek when there is no drought, and lots of nice trees and landscaping around the house. He has a 36 x 36 ft metal bldg to play in and is taking his boat to work on it there. No crops, no animals. He is going to seed for hay. I had agreed to move when we found a house on one floor with my own bedroom that I could keep cool. He has one where he can get as warm as he wants. The kitchen is to die for. It is 29 x 19.5 feet. With 40 linear feet of counter top to work on. I could have a cooking school there. LOL. Seriously, we are planning a cookie bake a week from Friday when my two grand daughters and daughter will come to make Christmas cookies. My other stipulation was that the house not need to be remodeled, insulated or any major work done. This house was built by a retired couple in 1995. It is dirty but I am hoping I can get help up there to clean.

Now are you ready for a real shock??? I called my brother to send Mother for Christmas, too. I know I am really nuts, but she really wants to see her great, great grand daughter as well as Carolyn's kids. She has mellowed so much I hope it will be a pleasant visit. More later. I will email you some pictures. Gotta run packing the china. Chuck is on a run to the new house with the van loaded with angels and Rubel animals. Yes, he even helped me pack them. But he is going to work until this house is sold then retire. Hopefully that will happen soon. Hugs MK

Good luck with your move, MK...and your mom for Christmas as well! cookie bake sounds like fun, though. The kitchen does sound like one to die for! I just hope you don't kill yourself keeping it clean!

OK, I read the post and you had to hear my laughter. I remember someone saying she was going to borrow my saying...... You know the one about moving to a farm when pigs fly...... Naturally this lead to me running outside and looking up. Then I read that Chuck helped you pack your treasures from the MKe-bay cavern. I realized Chuck really wanted to move. So if I read right we can now send mail to the MKChuckie farmette. Love it. I am going out shopping for a record that teaches you hog calling. Might I warn you to watch out for the rooster. They can be very nasty critters. Thanks so much..... I have not had a chuckle like this in months. Oh about no animals.... I only have one thing to say, no one buys an airport unless they plan to fly. So when does he buy the horse and cow? You did not get suspicious when he said he was going to plant hay? Tee hee. Joyce, you are too funny...! Thanks for the laugh...I remember we always would teased MK about a farm.!

Anyways MK, hope the move is going smoothly..dont work to hard !

I really enjoy reading some of the different posts. I'm glad I found this website. You guys sound like you have a ton of fun together and know each other so well. How great is that? Good luck with your move. That is always exciting, but lots of work.

Joyce, please tell me that you did NOT run outside and look UP for a flying pig. When taking such chances, use an umbrella.

MK keeps telling me how Chuck is going to be reseeding the land and has been to the county agent to see about it. My first question is "Why?". The answer is, of course, so something can live there. Will Chuck's small JD riding mower take care of 34 acres? Hardly. Cows, horses, and some goats will do that just fine.

I don't know if you know it but MK has a large duck following. She started feeding them from her back yard but as time progressed, they come up as close to the house as they can and quack, waiting for her to come out. How long do you think it will be until they find her? She's got two ponds now so they'll be right at home.

There is one little thing that niggles at me. I understood Chuck working on his sail boat for future sailing on the lake. Now, he is taking it up to the outside storage area to continue to work on it. I haven't seen any pictures of MK's ponds but they must be huge. Just remember, MK, gators do live in Texas ponds. (There's already been one caught here in Van Alstyne.)

I am dying to see the new place when MK's company is gone. She did tell me that she had 40 linear feet of counter space. My response is not printable.

You had me laughing so hard my sides ache. I need a nap.

OK, I'm officially jealous of that kitchen!  Mine is so small with VERY little counter space.  I once wanted to start a home bakery, but just couldn't see how with what I have.  Yours I could put to good use.  When can I come over???  LOL

I got a wonderful sign for my kitchen for Christmas from my daughter. GRANDMA'S HOMEMADE BAKERY Fresh Baked goods Made with Love. It is about 4' x2' in size. You'd love it. I can stay here all day and bake my little heart out.

Anyone who wants to visit my little piece of farmland heaven is welcome. Of course Chuck is going to purchase a real tractor again. No, no animals, but maybe some chickens??? I'd like to have fresh eggs. Lots and lots of birds are around, but I have yet to see one duck. Blue jays, Cardinals, Bluebirds, Woodpeckers, Hawks. So far I have not seen a little sparrow. Robins were here last week but they must have moved on. Chuck also saw Cedar Waxwings before we moved in.

All is going well with Mother, too. She doesn't remember where she is half the time and asks over and over whose house this is, where is it, etc. Poor soul, I actually ache for her. Her health is great, tho.
