:-)  i there , got my mum staying with me , and would like to no iv any one has had radiotherapy , her breast is still sore and blisterd and she had her treatment 7 months ago . is this normal for her breast still to be so soar. she is also very tierd . she is taking the drug rimadex . she doesnt have the net so iv anyone could chat to her while shes here that would be great . shes here with me foe 4 weeks , many thanks .

Hi there.  I had radiation therapy, but even though I'm very fair skinned, I didn't experience any blistering.  I only got slightly red.  I was surprised, actually.  I don't think that the skin should still be sore and blistered.  She needs to talk to her doctor.  Hasn't she had follow up visits with the radiation oncologist?

THis does not sound normal, please suggest that she consult a radiation oncologist as soon as possible. Perhaps you can take her since she is staying with you for the time being.

I agree w/ the other ladies. This is NOT normal. I believe that Lori asked if your mom had not followed up w/ appointments since her radiation was completed. I would strongly suggest that you call your family dr and ask if he/she could recommend someone that your mom could see. Please do this as soon as possible.

hi there, thank you for your addvise , she has had follow ups and the radiation oncologist said its radio burns .she also has been to see her doctor . i am going to take her to my nurse on the base . becouse i like you ladies dont think it looks right . i will keep you posted . many thanks xxx

There shouldn't be any radiation burns after 7 months. The skin might have a red or tanned appearance but not blisters and burns. Glad that you are taking her to get it further checked.
