my sister has breast cancer metastasized to her lungs. she has already tried arimadex but it did not help, the doctor took her off of this drug and gave her a shot of faslodex she is going to have a port put in this week she has already had breast cancer with removal of breast and her uterus removed she has been cancer free untill 12-07 when she found out she has cancer in both of her lungs i am doing research for her because she doesn't have a computer can anyone tell me some types of medicine she can maybe try for this or at least talk to her doctor about and some good web sites so i can print some info for her she lives in ohio and i live in georgia we talk alot on the phone i have crohns disease and this site has helped me understand my own disease my miracle drug came from a web site my doctor wasn't aware that it was being used for crohns i was his first patient and now he has alot of patients on it so i'm hoping to learn all i can about my sister's type of cancer so maybe she can get the best treatment possible she is going to start chemo but not sure what kind how many kinds are there and the names if anyone can help me i would be so grateful. may god bless each and everyone of you fighting this terrible disease.

Hi! Welcome to our board. Your sister is lucky to have your support! There are many drugs that are used to fight metastatic BC (mets). Many oncologists think of mets as a chronic disease that can be controlled, if it responds to therapy. There seems to be a "laundry list" of drugs that they refer to, and if the first drug doesn't work, they try the next one on the list. www.breastcancer.org is the most comprehensive site with breast cancer info. That's a good place to start. There are many women here who are going through similar situations and will chime in with more specific info. The board seems to be a bit "sleepy" as of late, so don't be afraid to come back with more questions and more people may respond and help you! Good luck to both of you!

thanks for the info ive been able to get my sister alot of info from the breast cancer.org. my sister suprised us at easter and came down for three days i got her on this site we stayed up half the night reding the different post my sister starts her chemo in the next few days this i havent went to the clinical trials yet but thats my next stop. my sister says shes gonna try to get a computer so maybe she'll be on here but i told her untill then just tell me what she wants to know and i'll post for her i signed my name wrong im starbrite on another post site i use sasha1 here my daughter found this site for me and gave me sash1 here sorry my brain dont work as good as it used to i blame it on all the good drugs i have to take for my crohns anyway thanks for listing to me

One of my friends went to the proffesional hospitels as his class of cancer was very bad and he needed to fly there so he used VIP airambulance that have provide him a proffesional medical care and treatment as he was flying to the hospitel and back!!
