Is that symptom of breast cancer?

Hi my mother has some lump on her left breast for 2 weeks now. And when she touch herself she feels the pan, not much bat she feels. She is 49 years old. It can be breast cancer?

It could be breast cancer, or it could be a benign lump, or a cyst. But the best way to find out is to go to the doctor and have a mammogram. I hope she has done that. The sooner the better. Let us know!!! Hugs MK

She visited her doctor. And he told her that isn't nothing seriously. It's only lump on her skin, nothing whit breast.

I had a mamogram on the 1st of April and just got a call that I have to go back to have another one done on my left Breast. Nurse said it could be the way it was taken that I shouldn't worry. They call it a distortion in architect in left breast. Just have to wait it out. I have no history of breast cancer in my family.

Welcome, Rebabell, you didn't ask any questions, but I will offer that more than 75 percent of new breast cancer cases are in people with no family history. I was one of those in 1996. I don't mean to be an alarmist, but too often women pin their hopes of a benign diagnosis on having no family history. The fact is only a small percentage of new cases of breast cancer are in women with a family history.
