Anybody heard of a PIM test??

I went for an ultrasound of my L breast after having two mammograms and the doctor now wants to send me for a PIM test. He said there are only 65 of these machines in the US and he recommends this test rather than a biopsy. I was wondering if anybody has had this test and what could I expect.

My guess is that it is something new. Ask your doctor to explain it, or at least the nurse in his office and then share with us. There is a test insurance companies like to argue about but for the life of me I can remember nothing more about it. Too much going on in my life right now with a husband that is suddenly very ill with lung cancer. Hugs MK
