hi

  i'm a bit worried and need abit of advise! i;m 28 years old and had 3 children all wich i have breast fed,the youngest is now 3 yrs and i am still lactating,my breasts are sometimes itchy and sore.

i had been to the doctors about this and was supposed to go for a bloodtest about 6 months ago,which i didn't,silly i know!! i retured to the doctor the other day and rearanged the blood test but since then i have found a hard lump in my breast,it is not painfull and i am now worried it is cancer!!

i have a appointment with the doctor in the morning but i'm now going out of my mind...

Just keep following up, and IF you get anything to worry about, that's when you start thinking. Now, you've got your 3 babes to think about and so don't spend time on this right now. I KNOW - easier said than done, but you can do this. Just breathe, enjoy the kids cuz they'll know you're upset and it might be for naught! Truly, there are so many reasons for a lump, especially since your still lactating. Come here and vent daily if it helps, we're here for you. Just try to not let it get the best of you during the day and nights!!! OK?

Please make sure your doctor orders an ultrasound. Breast cancer in your age group is fairly uncommon, although not impossible. You may have a galactocele (milk cyst) or a regular cyst, both of which are benign. But definitely get it checked out and don't be afraid. Good luck.
