Anyone remember the pork chop bone story??

I can't recall the details, but saw that Susan asked in the thread from Bev about the MRI.  Who remembers how that got started? 

I know it means that we hope all tumors, lumps and spots turn out to be a false alarm, just a big ol' nothing.

So that our new friends don't think we're totally crazy, can anyone provide the background?

I knew someone would have to ask! And for the life of me, I can't remember whole story, either. A friend of hers was having intestinal problems...had tests done, and was told she had a fast-growing tumor. When they went to take it out, it turned out to be a piece of a pork chop bone that had become lodged and gotten infected. Not a tumor at all. Something like that.

We need someone like Mikki or Jo-Ann to tell it.

Found this on the web and thought it was too funny. The resemblance in the stories is uncanny:

i heard this story about this fat woman
who sat naked on a pork chop bone once

and didn’t notice when it lodged itself
among her folds of fat. years later,

when she felt a sharp pain, and the doctors
couldn’t figure out what it was, opened

her up and found the pork chop, and realized
that her skin just eventually grew over it.

Lori:  Thanks for posting this question. Everytime I would read about the "pork chop bone" I would sit here and try and figure out what the heck you all were referring to. For the life of me I could not come up with anything that was connected with bc. rofl At least I know that I'm not totally nuts now. Thanks again!
