Hi guys
This is Tammy McCaslin. Remember me? I guess you thought I fell in a hole somewhere, huh? There's been a lot going on for me. Today was my last chemo! Yahoo! I sure do miss my hair. I never realized how important your hair is to your looks until I lost mine. I can't wait to see how it grows out. Anybody have any funny stories to tell about hair? Anyway, last time I talked to anyone, I had just started dating this guy. Well it's been 3 1/2 months and everything is just wonderful. I'm staying with him right now at his house because I was and still am having financial problems because I've missed a lot of work.....anyway, sometime this summer we plan on moving back to my house cause I'm buying and he's renting. He is so good to me. It does not matter to him that I'm bald. (It does me, still, I'm still very self concious about it.) Everyone at my job, which is Wal-Mart, has been wonderful to me, from the lowest in the hiarchy to the highest. I could not ask for better treatment from everyone. I will be starting radiation in approx. 3-4 weeks. I'm nervous about that and what it will do to me. Anybody have anything they can tell me to help me? I'd sure appreciate anything. I'll be doing radiation about 6-7 weeks, five days a week. That's a lot! The chemo is pushing me into early menopause (I'm almost 46) The hot flashes are killin me!!!!
I'm sorry to just go on and on, but it's been a while. I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and on June 3, the city is having a Relay for Life for cancer survivors and non-survivors. We have a racehorse track here and that's where it's going to be held. It's an all night event with all sorts of stuff going on. I can't wait. I think it will be very beneficial to me, as well as a lot of fun! I'll tell you more later. I'm going to go for now. I'll look forward to hearing from you.
Hugs and prayers
Tammy McCaslin
