sharp pain, throbbing just alittle behind armpit

I've woken up twice with a pain on my left underarm breast. It comes and goes its like a sharp pain. And I dont know if I should call the doctor or if its associated with me about to start my menstraul cycle. I'm 45 yrs old and my mother had breast cancer my grandmother had cyst.
