My husband and I are going to our son's cabin in Gatlinburg on Thursday morning and will be back Saturday night. Our daughter in KY and her family will be there as well as our son's family. We are looking forward to seeing them all, seeing the cabin and I understand there are some outlets nearby where we are shopping on Friday. We are looking forward to having a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you all have plans to do the same. Happy Turkey Day! Hugs MK

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you and your families. If you are traveling, please be careful and have a safe trip. I am having my family again this year plus several friends that don't have anywhere to go. It is always fun. Guess that I need to go shopping today. lol No rush!

MK..I remember the pics of your son's cabin. Can't wait to hear all of the details and let us know about the shopping.

Before I moved to The Catskills, I had always dreamed that I would have a nice house in the country and have my family over for Thanksgiving.  It won't happen this year, but may next year.  I looked at a house last night and it seems to be perfect for DH's business!!

He and I will look at it Friday.  Maybe I'm supposed to stick around here near family.

We're going to his cousin Gina's this year.  She does it every other year.  She has a beautiful home and the family is really fun.  I will be thinking of all of you.

Tee hee, I have it easy. I cook for shut ins and then go to my girl friends house. We all bring lots of dishes and just relax and eat all day. Really Itialian. I am not making the turkey but I will bring lots of other things. Keeps it nice for everyone. Last year we sat down at 3 and did not leave the table until 9. I know I heard an oink as we all got up. LOL Wish you all what ever type of Thanksgiving makes you happy. I know at one time I would have jumped out a window without my kids around for Thanksgiving. Now I feel good feeding the shut ins and relaxing and saving my energy for the biggie.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!  I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful day filled with family, friends, and good food.  I am doing the cooking and will have about 9 people.  Everyone brings food, also.  I provide the main things - turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pies.  This is the first year, though, that I have to work the day before AND after, so I'm sure I will be tired.  But, that's OK.  I will enjoy the day with family and friends.

We are heading out to visit Leigh's family on Thursday..his mother moved down this year and his sister is in from NY with her brood, so it will be a busy time. All I have to do is pick up an apple pie from the cider mill....and take the dog to the kennel and pack for the trip and oh yeah, the movers are coming next Thursday...I've been packing and cleaning and moving and I am one pooped little girl! The only bad part of going out of town is that it is smack dab in the midst of my move...and I have lots to do in the house. What a pain to have to clean each basement and garage item before packing it.
At any rate, I am looking forward to spending time with my new family....
