Last drain

Finally, the last drain will be removed today.  It's been 2 weeks and a day since the surgery.  That is a long time to have a drain and I'll be glad to get rid of it.  I am getting around easier now.  It's OK for me to stand straight (if I can), but not to walk yet.  I'm going to ask the doc today about that.  I want to start some moderate walking and gradual build up to what I was doing before.  I will feel a lot better then. 

 

I still have some shooting pains in the abdomen and now the breast.  I'm probably feeling it because I stopped the Vicodin a few days ago. 

 

The job I was temping at finally got the position posted for permanent, so hopefully, I'll be able to apply next week.  They have to do an internal posting for 7 days first, before offereing it to outsiders.  It's a union shop.  I had a dream last night that a lot of people applied for it and I was worried I didn't have a chance.  Wish me luck! 

Hey, girl. I have not posted, but I have been reading about your progress. Way to go, girl!! I am very happy that you are progressing so well. Just have to get into the swing of walking.\ daily.

I believe that since you have been doing the job at the company, that you stand a good chance of getting this position. It all depends upon how they wrote up the job. I hope the wrote it for your "skill level".

Good luck with the job and and know that either way, it's God's will. He never closes a door without opening another.

Kathy- CONGRATS on getting rid of the those DARN DRAINS! I * D* those things, I had 4 and 2 stayed in about 4 weeks. I griped quite a bit about it. Walk that hand up the wall... that exercise helps so much.
