Question about Tram Flap

Your abdomen will stay numb, at least mine has. I don't think the midriff area should be quite that tender. Be sure to look at it real well and if it looks pink or red, feel it for more warmth than the rest of your skin to see if there might be an infection going on in there. Also fluid can collect, called a seroma, which might have to be drained so feel it in two places and see if when one side is pushed in if you can feel fluid flowing to the other hand. Tram flaps are very major surgery and you have to really watch. I had trouble with seromas and then later with infection. Don't be afraid to check in with your doctor, they would rather have you call when nothing is wrong than have you wait it out and have a problem that could have been solved more easily. Hugs, MK
