Finally had the surgery yesterday.  PS was just fine.  Everything went well and I came home the same evening.  It's quite sore, but manageable.  I'm all wrapped up, so not sure what it looks like.  I will see PS on Wed. for a follow up and I'm sure I'll see it all then.  Having fun with the drain again!  LOL 

 

I want to say welcome to all the new members.  It seems like we are getting a lot more, unfortunately.  As soon as the feeling comes back in my left hand, I'll welcome you each in your separate posts.  Just remember, you can get through this!

Hi Kathy: I am so glad to hear that your surgery went well and that your PS was fine also. Just take it easy. Don't overdo. Hope that you get those drains out at your next appt.

wow, So glad to hear this. I am glad you are managing well. Hope you leave PS doing a very happy dance step. I must admit the drains are the pitts. Just getting them out is enough to make me happy. Hugs Joyce

So glad to hear that you finally have your surgery behind you. I hope you are getting around well. I have decided to put mine off until the end of December, that way it will still be in the same calendar year for insurance purposes. My work schedule is very busy from now until the end of the year and then January and February are slower so it is a good time to take off.

I'm glad to hear you are still planning to go through with it.  Did you talk to your PS about how I had my TRAM done (delayed)?  Having a surgery a month before to ligate the blood vessels.  My PS again said that made all the difference in mine being so healthy.  I had my first check up today and all is well.  I got the drain out, which is always liberating.  I have had a total of 6 drains in my body with all these surgeries.  I consider myself an expert!  LOL  I am cleared to return to work on Monday.  I feel really good.  I haven't had to take any pain meds since Monday night.
