My wonderful breast surgeon has recommended a dilon scan, a scan that can assess dense breasts for cancer. I need a sonogram first. I think they're doing the right breast only.
I'm trying not to think too much...but I can't help but wonder if they're concerned about that lumpiness I feel when brushing against the right side of my breast. Dr. focused a little on that area, but didn't really say anything. The dilon scan was recommended before he knew I was concerned about the area, too. I don't know what I'm feeling. When I examine, there's nothing there, but I could swear I feel something when I brush against the area when I put my bra on. I have that old, scared feeling I had when DH found a lump and I couldn't feel it. BTW, he doesn't feel anything (not for a lack of trying, LOL).
I just need to keep my mind off it. I'm going for the sono and scan on Nov. 14. THey worked it out so I only have to go one day for both (probably the one good thing about having history at that cancer center...the doc and PA know how far away I am and pull strings to save me several trips).
BTW...my house is beautiful. I'm in heaven.
