Hi Bev! I'm not sure which "Deb" you were referring to but since I haven't posted much lately, I decided that I would answer, even if it is the other Deb that you were asking about. lol
Things have been rather hectic around my house lately. First, I am back on weekly chemo (Herceptin, preventative) Protocol is ever 21 days but the cost of that is over $26,000 and my insurance was only covering $8,000. So by going on weekly, the reimbursment is much better. I can't say that I like this weekly crap but, as we all know, we have to do whatever it is that keeps us going.
As most of you know, I have had my 3 granddaughters for the past year. Well, my eldest granddaughter's pe teacher is a friend of her other grandmother and aunts. He preceded to tell them that Emma (age 12) had missed a lot of school, was flunking and running w/ a bad crowd. Well, she was very sick in Nov, Dec, and Jan. She did miss school but still made straight A's and the honor roll. She is NOT running w/ a bad crowd. Trust me on that one. So her grandmother calls, then her dad calls. She hadn't heard from them since before Thanksgiving when she was to sick to go visit them. They didn't send her bday gifts, Christmas gifts, etc. No word from any of them. To make a long, long story much shorter....After the phone calls I went to the school and talked to the principal. I get home and there was a call from DFS. I had been hotlined for dental neglect and giving Emma my narcotic drugs to make her sleep so I wouldn't have to fool w/ her. I was livid!!!!!! So I called the principal and told her she ahd better do something about that teacher. The caseworker found that there was no justification to their claim and told them so. Then my daughter decided that she was going to show her power and called the police and made the girls go w/ her. She said that she was NOT going to bring them back but she did. Anyway, it has been anything but quiet and peaceful here. This is why I haven't posted much lately but I do make sure to read the board at least 1x a day.
Take care. Happy FIRST DAY OF SPRING.
Hugs,
Deb
