Finally, Jo-Ann's kids took her to the hospital...

She called me this morning from Allen Presbyterian Hospital.  They admitted her immediately with a BP of 88/59, blood sugar over 500 and severely dehydrated.  She has UT infection, too.  God only knows what else they will find wrong. I have been telling her for a month to get to the doctors office, so I am glad the kids took charge.  I will let you know more as I hear from her.  I need to get Jodi's phone number, the one I have is an old one from before her move several years ago.  Let's keep Jo-Ann in our thoughts and prayers and hope the doctors can pull her out of this mess.  Love MK

OK I talked with Jo-Ann this afternoon. I forgot one thing, she is also anemic. They have her on IVs and a clear liquid diet because her blood sugar is still so out of whack. Since she has never seen any of these doctors before, they have no preconceived ideas about her illnesses and they will rout out the problems. She laughed when I told her this and said they don't know how contrary she is, either. She told me even her lymphedema arm which is usually quite large is skin hanging on bones. She is one sick lady. They are going to do a complete GI series but when she does not know. I told her I had posted about her so you would all know to remember her in prayers. Hugs MK
