scan results

I am extremely happy to report that both my CT and bone scans came back negative!     I knew deep in my heart that they would, but it's nice to have it confirmed.  I was amazed that it can tell that my left abdominal muscle is missing!  LOL  The only things that came up to keep an eye on is a small 3mm lesion on my liver and the tumor marker is elevated.  Kaiser does a different test than my other onc, so there is nothing to compare it to.  My other onc does the CA 15-3.  Kaiser does the CA 27, 29.  I know a lot of you ladies have that test.  Have any of yours been elevated without any other signs of cancer?  I am not worried about it.  The onc ordered another CT of the liver area and blood tests again in 3 months.  I am slightly concerned about the liver, since it is such a vital organ and with what happened to my ex-BIL.  She said many people have cysts that are nothing and it's too small to biopsy.

 

So, all-in-all, great news. 

Lots of things, from an alcoholic drink the weekend before to an aspirin (for the hangover?) can cause liver enzymes to be elevated. I've had elevated liver enzymes before, and the first time...it scared the be-jesus out of me. Sounds like your onc is on the ball and keeping an eye out, just in case. So as MK would say, "try not to worry til you know you have something to worry about."
