Can anyone tell me about EBV VCA IGG levels?

Hi,

I am 51 yr old and new to this but I recently got my EBV IGG andit is 591.0 , my MCHC is abnormally low, my Ferritin is low, Vit B is low, my neutrophils are high , my hemoglobin AIC is high. I have been feeling bad for a long time and I dont drink or smoke my only real problem is migraines . I have fatigue, joint pain, random rash on my palms, low grade fever off an on , sweating off and on , swollen lymph nodes in the neck and arm pits off and on and random GI issues. A naturopath I see wants to do an infusion of a wormword derivative and vit B12 shots. I am concerned that there is far more going on that needs attention. I live in an area with limited access to healthcare and it may require travel , so I am trying to get as much information as possible . I would appreciated any information

I have been to every Dr imaginable trying to find out why I am so tired. I just can't function. I keep telling them it's CFS but nobody will listen. I went to Dr last week I told her every time I get sooo tired I can't think my throat hurts and today is one of those days. But it happens a lot but if I can get a lot of sleep it goes away. I'm thinking that's weird but must be my body saying slow down. She said let's do an Epstein-Barr test. My results are only this
Epstein-Barr Early Antigen IgG Ab - Neg
Epstein-Barr Virus Capsid Ag IgM Ab - Neg
Epstein-Barr Virus Capsid Ag IgG Ab - Positive (H)

I do have low thyroid but have never felt this terrible. Was dx with fatty liver. But I have just felt like I'm dying. Can't get enough sleep, can't function, aches & pains are horrendous. All I know is I have kids and I just can't function to take care of them and the tiny podunk town I live in can not find out why I am so flipn exhausted 24/7. 😥

Anyone testing for Lyme or coinfections of Lyme need to test trough igenex, or a lab recommended by an llmd. Igenex I've heard is about the best. Typical Lyme testing by your dr will not be accurate. A lot of people go undiagnosed for years because the typical test done by the dr is not right. Contact an llmd and do a test through igenex to test for Lyme and coinfections

Hi, I have similar issues as you both. General symptoms: fatigue, sore throat in the back, night sweats derived from hot flushes, back pain, alcohol intolerance and I would not know if swollen lymph node ...I've been like this for a month now

My analysis:
EBV: IgM 1,4 - IgG 3,8 --->both POSITIVE
Thyroid analysis and brain ressonance have gone right


The curious of the case is that when I was 17 I got EPV for first time with normal symptoms. Later at 21 I got the same and it derived to an Immune thrombocytopenic purpura... It was really awful! And now the third time, and I'm really worried about.

I have to say algo that I'm taking every two days a low dose of finasteride. Could this be worse?
Can this virus be reactivated without infection?

I have had Lyme for 8 years and I was lucky that I tested positive through Labcorp for it back then but wanted to point out that flu like symptoms and major fatigue were my main symptoms. I was so fatigued I could hardly move and knew something was wrong. Lyme is notoriously hard to test positive for so I would get tested through the Igenix lab or another lab that specializes in Lyme testing. You can order the test for free and have your doc or a lab do the blood draw-test is around $250 I think if your insurance won't pay for it(you only need the IgM and IgG testing). Night sweats can be a symptom of babesia, a coinfection of lyme.

If you have a reaction to doxy or zithromax, etc. that is bacteria die off and what is called a herxheimer reaction and an indication that you are toxic. I have a gene mutation that makes it difficult for me to get rid of toxins so I get a major reaction from abx. Herbals are a better fit for me. My doc has me on a bunch of supplements. I suggest taking oil of oregano, turmeric, magnesium and vitamin c -it's super important to build up your immune system as you know. Seeing an LLMD or LLND would be beneficial as they will treat you on symptoms alone.

I have had very similar issues to everyone here. I always feel like I'm coming down with a flu! I tested positive for EBV in October with The Early Antigen level at 14.0 and I just tested again now 3 months later and it jumped up to 15.8. I'm seeing an Infectious Disease Dr. on Wednesday, but has anyone experienced this jump in numbers over months? I was hoping it would eventually go way... I am a healthy 30 yr old mom otherwise and this is bringing me down so bad. I need to get past this to be the best mom I can to my 1 year old. I also have a job that I love which I have not been performing at as well as in the past. I definitely need some answers and I am not even sure where to turn anymore. sad

This EBV and mycoplasma keep rearing their ugly heads. Liver enzymes elevated again. AM cortisol very low. Anyone heard if EBV can cause elevated liver enzymes? TSH is elevated also but ft3 and ft4 ok. This Lyme and confections is the gift that keeps on giving

EBV Ab VCA IgG >600. I forget how high the My co test was.
