Hi, I have been sick for over a year. I have had so many terrible symptoms- extensive medical tests all come back negative. I seem to improve a little each month- but I still feel really bad. My newest symptom is trouble breathing. I can breath in but not out completely. It makes me dizzy. Of course when I tell people this, they just think I am nuts- because I have had so many symptoms. I went to see a doctor today - he did a breathing test and sure enough it showed that my lungs are functioning at the level of a 77 year old. I took a treatment of albutrol, then redid the test, and my lungs were functioning at the level of a 52 year old. Oh by the way- I am only 28. I have never smoked and I do not have asthma.Seems to be just another crazy symptom. I have a prescript
ion for an inhaler. The doctor suggested I see an allergist and an endocrinologist. It just gets crazier everyday. I have lost 15 pounds in the last 5 months also. Do these symptoms sound like CFS? That is the only diagnoses I can get.

It's a good thing you are seeing an endochronologist, but you may want to see a pulminologist for your lungs. My son has some shortness of breath and didn't preform very well on the breathing test and his pediatrician discussed a referral to a pulminologist rather than an allergist.

I have respiratory symptoms as well, many of which have worsened this year. What did they say when you took your son to the pulmonologist?
I have a tenderness in my neck, just above my clavicle, that is so sensitive touching it causes me to cough. I'm also short of breath, dizzy, and I cough often, though I have no mucous, and I'm not asthmatic. I think it's bizarre, it doesn't seem natural to have these issues.

I must say that this is definitely one of my symptoms…I go through weeks where I breathe perfectly fine, and others I find myself shortness of breath…I find that my asthma puffer helps a bit even though I know its def not my asthma as Im not wheezing.
It is a very uncomfortable feeling isn’t it??
