After seeing no improvement for 4 weeks I almost gave up on eating the 85% dark chocolate but I am glad I didn't, the study said it would take 5 weeks before seeing any improvements. For the last 10 days I have felt better then I have for a long while. I am more clear headed & the fog has lifted some. I find myself talking about
gardening this summer & that hasn't even been in my energy envelope in years. Am I cured? by no means, but when I started eating the chocolate I said I would be happy with 10% improvement and I definitely got at least that. I would recommend it to others because I feel like I got my mind back.
I am on day 3 of the magnesium malate, I take 3 times a day & once again I will be happy to just see another 10% improvement. Caren how are you doing on it? Still seeing an improvement? How long before you noticed a difference in your mental clarity?
Many hugs, Denise

Great to hear it! I too have had some limited success with Magnesium Malate, I can never get up to 3 for 3X a day because I take too many other meds and i sleep 12-18 hrs a day every 3 days no matter what I take. They do help with both the "Foggies" and energy. For me its the just getting around the house, walking the dog, energy but its more than I was doing a couple of months ago so, yeah. I also started taking Ginkgo Biloba again and it really seems to help my mental clarity when I take it with the M.M.. By the way I Love the Idea and I even started on it last week, I like dark chocolate and since my Celiac/Dairy diagnosis its the only kind i can have anyway. So I started with it on Tuesday and unfortunately it all came up Tuesday night darn it. I just got diagnosed with Ulcers too so I'm sure that's not helping, but glad is good for you. Keep In Touch

Recovery, I know what you mean about
sleeping long hours. I sleep 10 to 14 hours per night & wish I could have more of a life. My awake hours are spent sitting on the couch resting. I have days I can do more & I really like those days, like today. I got out of the house & ran some errands, makes me feel alive again. Tomorrow will be spent resting from today. I have felt better with the chocolate, more alert
& clear headed. I find I can read & study more without becoming so overwhelmed. I have the energy to write to people, somedays I just don't have enough energy to reply to posts. lol I hope the dark chocolate works for you too. I haven't noticed anything yet from the magnesium malate but I hope to in the near future.
Congratulations on becoming the forum moderator. We have needed one for quite some time. Take care of yourself. Many gentle hugs, Denise
