Just a question.
Is there a particular type of specialist that works with CFS?
Background: I'm a 47yr old active duty Soldier. I have had chronic pain and fatigue since Aug 2013 following a lower back injury to 3 discs. I have had traction, chropractic adjustment, referalls to Ortho, Nuro, and Physical Therapy with no relief. My MRIs show that I should have no pain, but I definately do. My labs show a moderately positive ANA, thyroid functions were normal. I do have a CPAP machine and deal with some PTSD that could contribute, but those seem under control through medication/therapy. My Primary Care Doctor stated that "he doesn't believe in CFS", and the Rhumo specialist just rubbed his hand on my back and proclamed that I didn't have Fibro since I didn't scream ( I guess he missed the part about me being in the Army the last 26 years - we don't scream often ).
So should I see a particular type of specialist? Is there any particlar test that they should preform. Just trying to make it through a desk job day is killing me right now, I couldn't imagine doing the jobs that I did just a year ago.
